Last weekend, GCM lined up at the 24h race at the Nürburgring / Germany. After a successful start from position 9 and a competitive pace, Garvin has slightly touched a side rail, which lead to 10 minutes repair time. However, the following 20 hours, driven by the whole GCM team, were very safe, clean and featured a consistent pace. We gained several positions and drove at position 4 until Chris touched a side rail slightly, which lead to a 30 minutes repair time. However, after 24h we managed to finish 6th – a very satisfying and great team success!
This was the first endurance race with our new team structure, consisting of 3 new drivers. The major goal of this first event was to ensure that all team members are on the same level with respect to consistency. With < 50 IC points after 24h at the NOS, this aim has definitely been achieved. Talking about consistency, Christian was the outperformer of the race, gathering only 2 IC points during his 3 stints.
